Commando Spirit Appeal ON behalf of The RMCTF

Our Royal Marines face great danger, risking injury and even death on behalf of their country.

The Commando Spirit Appeal exists because our Royal Marines put their lives on the line for us and when they need help, we want to ensure they get it.

The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund helps Royal Marines and their families when they need it most. They aid the wounded and injured. They give quality of life to those returning from operations. And when the worst happens, they support the families of those who die in service.

This year there is a special focus on 40 Commando, serving on operations in Helmand from September until April 2013.

That is why the Commando Spirit Appeal is raising funds on behalf of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

the Commando Spirit SERIES

At the heart of the Commando Spirit Appeal is the Commando Spirit Series of events which will pit you against some of the most formidable aspects of Commando training, stretch you to achieve your fundraising commitment and buddy you with a former or serving Royal Marine who will provide a rare insight into the ethos of this world famous Corps. The first events in the series, Escape The Dunker and Take The Leap took place in 2011 and 2012. Set to take place in September 2013, the next event in the Series is Survive The Yomp and will be the ultimate test of physical and mental endurance. There are just 90 places up for grabs for this inaugral event so get a wiggle on and find out more.

MEET the participants

Our brave participants are preparing to Survive the Yomp, the iconic 30 miler all Royal Marines face as their final test before they receive their green beret and between them all raise £100K for The Commando Spirit Appeal for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
